I am a stay at home mama and farmer’s wife in the northern part of British Columbia. My husband and I met 6 years ago through a Christian dating site while I was working in Ontario and he was farming on the other side of the country. If someone had told me that would happen I probably would never have believed it! You can read about my transition from City Life to Farmer’s Wife here! It has been a wonderful transition but there has been a lot to learn on the way!

Before I moved to the far north, I worked in a research Microbiology lab. I loved the people but not particularly the work! I decided after five years working in a University research setting that I was ready for a big change. I packed my bags and headed to Vancouver where I envisioned myself drinking my starbucks in my lululemons (I went back to University to persue a degree in Psychology). God had different plans! I met my husband (whom I had been talking to over the phone while still in Ontario) within the first week and after a whirlwind romance we were married a year later! I am a stay at home mama and loving it more than anything I could have imagined. We have been married for five years and are blessed with two beautiful children.

I decided a year ago that I would get creative and create my own blog where I could write about the things I love. I was  terrified to publish it for fear someone I know (or don’t know!) may read it.  Fast forward a year and I finally decided to hit publish…yikes…but truly this has been an exciting journey and I love that this little blog is mine. I love writing about financial topics as I love to read the latest books about money saving, debt, tips, and all things pertaining to a healthy financial lifestyle. I want to inspire and help other’s to learn how they can work from home, make an income and strive towards living a healthy and wealthy lifestyle!
